Yamada’s latest work, “Tokyo Taxi,” starring Baisho Chieko and Kimura Takuya, based on the 2023 French film “Driving Madeleine,” will screen as this year’s TIFF Centerpiece and receive theatrical release on Nov. 21. In a recent sit down with AP, Driver said that over the span of two years, he and Soderbergh developed a script called “The Hunt for Ben Solo.” The film would have taken place after the events of “The Rise of Skywalker,” and followed Driver’s Kylo Ren, aka Ben Solo, on a search for redemption.
