As expected, the father-son duo of Eugene Levy and Dan Levy will emcee this year’s Emmys, which take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, live on ABC. The two made history in 2020 as the first father and son to win major awards in the same year, thanks to “Schitt’s Creek.” That year — in which winners appeared remotely, due to the COVID-19 pandemic — saw Eugene Levy win for outstanding comedy actor and Dan Levy win for supporting comedy actor. A film adaptation of her 2016 novel, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni (who also directed), has collected a stellar $50 million from 3,611 North American venues in its opening weekend. “It Ends With Us” took in $30 million internationally for an $80 million global start. It’s a huge win for the movie, which Sony Pictures and Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios co-financed for $25 million. “It Ends With Us” tells the story of Lily Bloom (Lively), a small business owner who gets caught in a love triangle between a charming but abusive neurosurgeon, Ryle (Baldoni), and her first boyfriend, Atlas (Brandon Sklenar). Vary According To The variety) Pixar‘s superhero family is suiting up again. “Incredibles 3” is in development at Pixar Animation Studios, with writer-director Brad Bird — who helmed 2004’s “The Incredibles” and 2018’s “Incredibles 2” — returning for the threequel. Pixar chief Pete Docter made the announcement on Friday during Disney’s epic presentation of its upcoming projects at the D23 Expo.
